Organizing Chair, AM-FPD'15

I sincerely invite you to the 22nd International Workshop on Active-Matrix Flatpanel Displays -TFT Technologies and FPD Materials- (AM-FPD'15). Sponsored by the Japan Society of Applied Physics, and technical co-sponsored by IEEE Electron Devices Society, and by ECS Electronics and Photonics Division and Japan Section, AM-FPD'15 marks the 22nd event in the workshop series. Since its inception in 1994, the workshop has been providing important opportunities for people engaged in the research and development of systems, devices & processes, materials for FPDs (Flat Panel Displays), thin-film devices, and photovoltaics. The active-matrix displays, active devices, and photovoltaics based on thin-film technologies are one of the key devices for facilitating the IT and low-carbon society.

AM-FPD'15 will prepare an attractive program focusing on "New Stages of Thin Film Devices towards Flexible Era" at the areas of thin film technologies such as thin-film transistors (TFTs), other thin-film devices, photovoltaics, circuitries and systems, LC technology, and crystallization, thin film materials and devices. The workshop will provide the keynote addresses by Ms. Lori L. Hamilton (Corning Holding Japan G.K., Japan) and Prof. Michio Kondo (Nat'l Inst. of Advanced Industrial Sci. and Technol., Japan). In addition to the regular sessions, there will be three symposia, "Advances in TFT Technology for Future Application", "Emerging Flexible Solar Cells" and "2D Materials for Flexible Electronics", in which innovative and important technologies for future TFT, transparent conductive films, and photovoltaics. Our committees will separately schedule Japanese tutorial session before the workshop.

I believe that AM-FPD'15 will give all attendees some solutions for achieving both low-carbon and smart information society. I heartily welcome all of you and am looking forward to seeing you at Kyoto on July 1st – 3rd in this year.
